Since 2017, senior housing developer Lee Tuchfarber has served as the chief executive officer of Renew Senior Communities in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Under the direction of Lee Tuchfarber, Renew Senior Communities offer respite care at their locations in Glenwood Springs and Aurora, CO.

Respite care is ideal for full-time, in-home caregivers of dementia patients. Caregiving 24 hours a day, seven days a week is emotionally and physically taxing.

Caregivers need breaks to attend to their own health and well-being. The respite care program allows caregivers to take sabbaticals by temporarily placing their loved ones in a secure location with professionally trained staff members.

Depending on the community, stays may be a couple weeks or several months. This program also offers meals, engaging activities, and any necessary medical care. Caregivers interested in respite care should schedule a visit to the facility and take note of the amenities, staff, and overall atmosphere.
